Stage 9: The Learning Culture Paradigm
We have seen that the web encourages a diverse range of paradigms
and that these can be roughly arranged into some sort of progression.
How are we to approach these paradigms. The solution is to adopt
a paradigm of continuous change.
- Treat the web as a solution, not a problem.
- Treat the web as a paradigm factory.
- Treat the web as a culture involving company, customers, and staff.
- Anyone can create a web in a few days.
- Creating a culture is much harder.
- Each paradigm is hard for people to see without the previous one in place.
- Web culture development must be approached continuously.
- It's up to busineses to move through these paradigms rather than being
forced through several levels by competitors.
Culture Impact
- The company must continuously experiment with the web.
- If in doubt, move forward, because it will take you to a new place.
- Staff must be prepared for continuous change.
Thesis: The Web is a paradigm engine.
Thus, the only paradigm that will work with it is a
learning paradigm.
Concluding remark: The web is a journey not a destination.
Start your journey now.
