This leads to the reference paradigm, in which the web becomes
a big reference source. Reference webs can contain:
- Information about the company.
- Technical information.
- In-depth information about products.
- Frequently asked questions.
- "Gift" information.

- Staff need to have web access and surf the web.
- Division of web amongst corporate divisions.
- Appointment of one or more webmasters.
- Publicity staff will have to get into online publishing.
