Global: Information is available worldwide.
Public: There are no restrictions on who can place a web online.
Unfiltered: Information can be placed on the web without first having to pass it through publishers, editors, and other filtering mechanisms.
Free: The cost of placing the material online is very close to zero.
Multimedia: Information can be communicated using text, graphics, audio, video, and a variety of other emerging media such as VRML.
