Brainspace: Out Of Touch
Tim : I mean, like, to give an example of the treasurer,
right, like, like, like, what does he understand,
you know, about trying to manage a new wave,
neo-Raphaelite, post-punk, rock-experimental band,
you know, it just goes to show how out of touch he
is with ordinary people. And, I don't think anyone
can argue with that.
Debbie : I think I could Tim.
Tim : Oh, excellent!
Note: Tim was doubly wrong because the treasurer
(at the time this sketch was aired on TV) was
Paul Keating (later Prime Minister) who in his youth managed
a rock band called "The Ramrods".
